Little Town of Ratho - Edinburgh Part 2

After a very wet day in Edinburgh we made it to 'Bridges' in Ratho, a nice cozy English pub. It is a little village but very pretty. We warmed up with some drinks and than made our way into the restaurant side for a delicious meal.
Ratho is what most would imagine a quaint little Scottish town to look like, with old cobblestone, original Scottish cottages and fascinating history (including that the last person to be hung - for murder I think- in Edinburgh was from Ratho).

Starting to dry off in the pub.

Brian and Sharilyn enjoying drinks over a very cool hammered copper table.

Love:)

Row of Scottish cottages on Brian and Sharilyn's street.

We all need a picture of a quaint Scottish door.

Rainbow over the Inn where we enjoyed our meal the night before.

The Bridges Inn

Everything is so green here, even in the winter. I will miss seeing grass and vines growing year round back in Canada.

Ahhhh Scottish country side, birds chirping, a pheasant wandering, sheep grazing, and the most awesome stone fences that I never tire of.

One of the benches that Brian made at the Black smith shop where he works, note the intricate knot on the top...and the sign is worth a read. (click to enlarge).
