Late Blog Entry

So sorry about the late blog entry.  We really want to keep it up.  It's been a very eventful last week and unfortunately it's been a week since we made any updates.  Now that the blogger business is back in action, you can keep checking us out and be confident we'll have new updates!

Right now we are in Edmonton, just arrived yesterday.  Our last part of the road trip was from 8:30 in the morning until 9:30pm.  Up until then I was totally enjoying driving.  Driving into Edmonton from Jasper is the boring part and after driving approximately 50 hours in the last two weeks and having to go to the washroom badly it made me excited to be done the road trip.  Our stay in Edmonton with Lissa's family is for two weeks and is we're going to have an incredible and relaxing experience with her Mom and Dad and siblings.

Spokane
So backing up... our last stop before Seattle was Spokane.  On the way there, we got 800km to the tank, which I got a picture to prove!!
Lissa wanted to get a picture of the Madelines Cafe that we stopped at for Breakfast.  We had enough of these rustic diner restaurants that have limited food for a vegetarian and this restaurant had just enough artsy culture and fancy food to offset the sketchy dives in the MIDWEST.

In the morning we went out to our car to find the truck beside us had the window smashed in and a large bag was stolen, nothing was done to our car and we had the ipod sitting in the middle console.  A mental note was made to put away anything of value.  Especially in the US of A.  err and Vancouver... lot's of interesting folk live there.

SEATTLE!!!

Finally on August 15th evening we arrived to Seattle to stay with Lissa's cousin Maria and Jayson.  They live in a beautiful neighborhood up on a hill that overlooks the bay.  They are spoiled rotten with the view!!

Nothing like a Savory Italian dinner to spent some incredible quality time with Maria and Jayson.

This is the original Starbucks.  Went in, took a picture and quickly bolted and went to the next Starbucks which had less then half the amount of people in the store.  We enjoyed the gospel quartet group that was busking outside.

The world famous Pike Place market in Seattle.  I didn't know it was world famous until I got there...

One of the days we spent in Seattle, Maria and her husband were at work and we slept in had french toast and coffee and watched movies in bed.  This was a good memory.

On Friday August 19th we picked up Lissa's sister in Vancouver.  This city is incredibly beautiful, but has a lot of different kind of people:)  Lot's of drugs, and crime.  We decided to stop for Dinner at the boat house over looking the beach.  Then we stopped at the Terminal Long and McQuade store and I thought we put up all the windows, once we got back to the car we noticed the back window was completely open and the camera bag was sitting right there, everything else was in the car, even my cell phone and wallet.  We took a moment to thank God that we didn't get cleaned out for such a stupid mistake.

These pictures are taken on the yellowhead road in the Jasper National Park.
